Vietnam Ethnic Groups

Vietnam is a multi-nationality country with 54 ethnic groups. Each group has its own language, lifestyle, and cultural heritage. The Viet (Kinh) people (about 87% of Vientam’s population) mainly inhabit the Red River delta, the central coastal delta, the Mekong delta and major cities. The other 53 ethnic minority groups such as Tay, Thai, Muong, Hoa, Khmer, Nung, H'Mong...are scattered over mountain areas from the North to the South.
